In September I am starting to spend evenings in a printmaking class. It is a course for hobbyists. We will learn basics of etching, drypoint, woodcut and linocut techniques. I am quite excited about that. The last time I used a printing press was in year 1985. I took some preliminary art courses at the time as I was aspiring to become an illustrator/graphic designer. Things did not turn out as expected. But I have been fascinated by printmaking and I have long hoped to be able to try it again.  Well, soon I"ll get my hands dirty with printing colours:).

... is Patrick Woodroffe from UK. He is not 'limited' to painting but is also a poet, printmaker and a  woodwork-craftsman among other things. http://www.patrickwoodroffe-world.com/ I have one of his art techniques books ('A closer look' by Paper Tiger) and the quality of his works is really amazing.

John Bauer did most of his paintings in watercolour. His style is very much like coloured drawing. http://bauer.artpassions.net/ Every time I am starting a painting with a hooded figure or a horse my goal is to achieve something even remotely resembling his style.
